Must-Have DIY Hand Tools

Here’s Scott Murray with a quick look at our must-have DIY hand tools.

Here at LEVEL5 we get countless calls about DIY projects and what tools you might need if you’re doing a small or quick repair.
If you’re stuck at home right now, it might be a good time to look around and see what you can repair and here at LEVEL5 we’re offering the tools to get the job done efficiently.

Here are some of the tools we recommend for your DIY kit:

Jab Saw

For cut out work or any kind of hole repair our jab saw can help clear that out and turn it into a better shape

Mixer

If you’re only using a little bit of water and joint compound for a small patch job, we recommend our
small mixer

If you’re working with a 1-5 gallon bucket we recommend our
bigger mix to get the job done.

Both mixers also mix paint beautifully, these mixers are
very versatile and can be efficiently used on a wide range of jobs.

Putty Knife

For surface prep, we recommend our
6” joint knife in combination with our mud pan for small holes

Taping Knife

For the bigger hole we recommend our stainless steel knives, the stainless steel is much more durable and will last you a very long time for a lifetime of small DIY work

We have our 8, 10 and 12 inch
taping knives to choose from. We recommend the 14” pan for the bigger taping knives so it’s easier to get the compound out.
